The new car
The car has arrived. A midnight burgundy Honda Civic - which everyone thinks is black. It's definitely an upgrade from the Celerio (and it seems to get rather more deference on the road!)| Midnight burgundy is NOT black! (but you have to get the light just so...) |
There's really only one dealership in Masbate City and that, it would appear, is a far flung outpost of a dealership in Naga (halfway up Luzon on the way to Manila). Buying a car is an interesting experience but suffice it to say, the Civic arrived in Masbate with 9km on the clock👍
So, since we now have the car, some road trips were in order...
Dacu
Dacu is a small fishing village within about 10 minutes of "the Bukid" (Umabay Interior). There is a small but cute resort/hotel there called Lucky Beach Resort. It could be yours for P4.5million!

Dimasalang
About 45 minutes south of the Bukid is the town of Dimasalang. It is an interesting drive on the Nautical Highway with fantastic sea, palm tree and agricultural views.

Our target in Dimasalang was a resort called Patio Milagros (which confused the heck out of me because Milagros is a town in the other direction!). Daughter #5 immediately decided she wants her 17th birthday party here...

Next
We're off to Manila at the end of this week to pick up my Passport and Retirement Visa (and probably a few other things that are not so easy to find here at the end of the global logistic chain!).Lots more to come on construction and wells and stuff - oh my!
Have a great day!
